The entire previous post was a tangent from my original intention, which was to post some photos from the weekend. Ariel came and it was the 2nd warm(ish) weekend — Spring is teasing us; that coquette.

I have recently stumbled upon some great photo blogs by acquaintances/friends-of-friends and was so inspired by their photo quality, but also their content. I stopped carrying my camera around because it’s so heavy and the iPhone does a decent, instagrammable job, but I miss having my DSLR-quality view of the world. There are so many wonderful things I see that I’d love to capture.

I’m going to try to bring it around more — I need to get better about posting though. While trying to photograph our walk through SoHo, I got quite frustrated with how difficult it is to work with friends as a subject. On one hand, you need to make forward progress and make it to your destination, but on the other hand, I want to capture that perfect shot… people often get embarrassed when they’re with “that friend” who takes all the photographs, but the products are so valuable to me after. But I am a very nostalgic person.

Unrelated note: Cha-an is an adorable dessert/tea shop. Expensive, but I do love the tea here. I didn’t do a great job with color editing this though; it’s quite blue.
[Note: I'm gonna stop ragging on the new WP UI but I noticed tags don't autopopulate anymore... halp! Halp me, WP, I have thousands of tags and need autopopulate or else I'm going to have a few narrow-miss duplicates and my OCD-tendencies are going to explode.]
