Somehow, three weeks flew by and now I’m nearing the end of my “winter break”. I shouldn’t even be having winter breaks this long as someone in the workforce, which my mom was quick to point out — “you sure live a blessed life.” I’ve crossed off nearly everything on my to-do list except one daunting task – learn Sketch/Xcode and create an app prototype with it, but maybe I can do that in my… one remaining day tomorrow?
I saw Vicky, Courtney, and Raymond today, the first two being people I have seen only a handful of times since high school graduation! Courtney’s married, Vicky is in PA school, and Raymond is deep in the trenches of Step 1 exams, but I am constantly weirded out by how little and how much changes over time.
I tried Honey Bee Teahouse, logging my “new thing” for this Houston trip (I think Derek pointed out that I tend to try something new each time I’m back), but it was disappointing. Not as good as Teahouse or even Tap House. The addiction continues. Especially because my brother and I have this tradition going now of getting each other one whenever the other goes out, which is making us both very warm and fuzzy and fat.
